Business Outcomes have become a very hot topic in both agile and want-to-be agile organizations over the past two years or so, with declarations such as Outcomes over Outputs! headlining conference keynotes and presentations, leading business sites such as Forbes, analysts such as Forrester Research, articles, blog posts, and of course Tweets.
But what are they? How do we write them? How do we know they are really Business Outcomes and not something else? Are we confusing them with the measurements, or metrics, or indicators that we would use to determine they are occurring? Are they about us or our Customers or both?
