Learning Outcomes

Lean-Agile Strategy: Practitioner is an experiential learning course where you get to practices LAS concepts in team-based Case Study format.

  • Develop a deeper understanding of the core concepts in LAS by applying them to a sample client situation

  • Understand why “open mic” discussions during Play 1 can be an invaluable source of why change is necessary and how it is a prerequisite to developing and maintaining shared context within and across organizational boundaries

  • Understand the roles in the room during LAS onsite or virtual workshops with real-world organizations and how to facilitate them towards whole-of-organization perspectives that break down the silos

  • Understand how LAS enables solutions, business architecture, organizational structures, etc. to emerge and evolve over time

  • Understand why strategy and execution are inextricably linked and how LAS supports and enhances those linkages

  • Understand why and how LAS can say that it is agnostic to which Lean-Agile Strategy Execution approaches are used at the team level and how it can help teams make better choices in which ones to use across time

Course Structure

LAS-P includes a self-paced deeper dive on the core concepts in eight two-hour facilitated workshops with the creator of Lean-Agile Strategy or certified LAS Trainers. The online sessions use a simple case study as the purpose is to help you be able to apply concepts. The workshops are delivered across two 2x4-hour sessions, one to two-weeks apart. You must have completed LAS-F at least two weeks prior to the start of the course. You must also agree to take a Strategic Diversity Assessment (10-15 minutes), with the aggregate results of all students shared in the first module. The Strategic Diversity Assessment MUST be completed to at least one week prior to the start of the course.
